A weekend of basketball

For a little change of pace I photographed three basketball games in two days. I started with the Northwestern Wildcats beating up on the Iowa Hawkeyes in NCAA action and then had a doubleheader on saturday in Milwaukee. Marquette defeated Cincinnati, and then in the NBA, the Orlando Magic topped the Milwaukee Bucks.

Luxury Jewelry Shoot

Last month I shot model Jessica Herrick from Factor Women Chicago, for a fashion shoot we were doing on Luxury Jewelry at Sheridan Road magazine. The pieces we used were from Merry Richards and Harry Winston Jewelers.

Quarterback Duel

What a crazy game. Before the game started the buzz was that the Packers were not going to start Aaron Rodgers , Clay Matthews and a few others. The Lions were playing for a better playoff seed so they had something to play for, while the Packers already had clinched home field for the playoffs. After an almost 2 hour first half in a windy and cold Lambeau Field, the game finally ended with the Packers defeating the Lions 45-41 and in a quarterback duel, the Packers Matt Flynn threw for 6 TD’s and 480 yards a franchise record, while the Lions Matthew Stafford threw for 5 TD’s and 520 yards. So much for the defense.

Hinsdale Furriers Ad Shoot

A few weeks ago I was called to do an ad shoot for Hinsdale Furriers in Hinsdale. Melissa, who is a manager at the furrier, decided to be the model and really did a fine job. Just a tease to some of the photographs that they will be using in their upcoming ads.

42Below Vodka at The Bedford

Last week I did a shoot for 42Below Vodka at The Bedford in Chicago. The building was an old bank so they took the vault area of the bank and turned it into a restaurant/lounge. The neat part about the restaurant is that they kept the vault just as it was when it was a bank, including all the safety deposit boxes and the huge doors to the vault.

Comedian Stephen Colbert

The other day I was looking through some photographs that I had taken earlier in
the year and came across some images that I shot for one of my clients,
Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. They had me shoot their graduation ceremonies in June and comedian Stephen Colbert delivered the Northwestern Commencement Speech. Needless to say, he had the faculty and students
laughing along as he remembered his days as a young college student at Northwestern.
